We are on a mission to ensure our kids experience country life as we knew it and grew up in beautiful Jamaica.

My eldest loves to make his patrol rounds in the goat pen.

We are returning with some of the day’s catch — Jelly coconut and freshly cut bananas.

My absolute favorite fruit is East Indian Mangoes.

Country life is simple and a treat for those who relish the slower pace of life.

I remember growing up and having a pet goat. Her name was Claire.

My husband has longed to have a herd again and most recently acquired over 200 head of goats. He begins his day at the farm to see his precious animals and crops, after which he transitions to mentoring at-risk youth at the school he co-owns.

Our eldest relishes this exposure and experience, while our youngest often stays a mile away due to the farm’s smell. This was the closest he’d been to seeing the goats.

I enjoyed this family outing and the memories created with our kiddos.
